MEATPACKING DISTRICT — The Gansevoort Market has three new vendors: The Meatball Guys, Peruvian ceviche spot Mission Ceviche, and British savory pie shop Myers of Keswick, according to a rep. The first two are in new kiosks, while Myers of Keswick took over the relatively short-lived Macelleria butcher shop. Status: All Certified Open. 52 Gansevoort Street.
COLUMBUS CIRCLE — Genji Sushi, which is responsible for the sushi in 165 Whole Foods locations around the country, is now operating a counter in the Whole Foods at the Time Warner Center, notes a rep. Breakfast is a set traditional meal consisting of roast fish, rice, Japanese pickles, miso soup. Lunch includes sashimi and vegetable dishes, while dinner focuses on sushi offerings. WILLIAMSBURG — Joe Carroll and Francesco Panella, who recently opened fern bar Oleanders at the McCaren Hotel, are opening Xanadu today on the hotel's roof, which was once affiliated with Paul Liebrandt's The Elm. The design is pretty simple, with large black and white stripped sofas and ottomans and a mostly unobstructed view of Manhattan. The small snack menu includes "crispy cupcake oysters" with yuzu creme fraiche and caviar, and soft shell crab sliders. To drink, the bar offers a decent selection of sparking whites and a handful of beers, ciders, and cocktails like a yuzu margarita. Status: Certified open. 160 North 12th Street.
LOWER EAST SIDE — Simonez Wolf, of Nowhere F.C., which operated pop-up "football concierge service" last summer during the World Cup has turned the space into Football Cafe. The tiny shop doesn't have any seating, it's just coffee drinks to go, reports Bowery Boogie. Status: Soft open. 100 Forsyth.
BATTERY PARK CITY — Giant French food hall Le District just opened a juice bar called Le Bar a Jus. According to Tribeca Citizen, the counter is only open on weekends. Status: Certified open. 225 Brookfield Place.
MIDTOWN WEST — Gluten-free restaurant Madison Square Tavern opened earlier this week, according to a rep. The kitchen is serving dishes like roasted clams with chorizo, black beans, shishito peppers, and sake, and vindaloo roast vegetable dumplings.
