Gabrielle Hamilton's Prune is partnering with American Express to offer "secret tables" to card-holders throughout the month of September. The way it works: If you have a Gold Amex, you can call the restaurant anytime during September and request a reservation for the "American Express Gold Table for Two." They're offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Seatings are at 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly. Also, if you have a Gold card, you can show it to your sever to get a free off the menu dish next month.

In other special dining event news, three of the big stars of the Nordic food scene in NYC will prepare a meal together as part of the NORTH Fest on September 28: Frederik Berselius (formerly of Aska), Mads Refslund (Acme; co-founder of Noma), and Daniel Burns (Luksus). According to the event's homepage, these chefs will "explore their own Nordic inspiration and flavors" for one dinner presented by VisitDenmark and The Consulate General of Denmark in New York. Tickets, which include both food and beverages, are available online right now for $179.
