Cult pizzeria Artichoke Basille's just started serving its slices and Sicilian pies in Brooklyn today. Technically the new restaurant has a north Park Slope address, but it's a short hop to Barclays, and the team is angling the shop as a place to get a meal pre and post concerts and Nets games. Owner Francis Garcia says the menu here will be the same as at the other five locations around town, with the addition of a forthcoming Brooklyn-only pie that's still in development.
The area, which is also walking distance from BAM has had to wait a while for solid dining options (with a few exceptions), but things are on a roll now with the recent opening of Patsy's, and a forthcoming Parm.
