Ramen Burger King Comes to Queens

Ramen master Keizo Shimamoto has started serving his burger/noodle mash up Ramen Burger at Smorgasburg Queens. Shimamoto already runs a Ramen Shack at the food court and has added a second booth dedicated to the burger. For the uninitiated the ramen burger pairs a fresh USDA Prime ground beef chuck patty from burger masters Schweid & Sons with a bun fashioned from ramen noodles topped with scallions and a shoyu glaze. Smorgasburg Queens is open Saturdays from 11 a.m to 6 p.m..
Minetta Tavern Black Label Makes Another Top List
Time magazine drops its list of the best burger in America, and the Minetta Tavern Black Label comes in second place behind beloved California chain In-N-Out Burger. The rest of the list is equally perplexing and arbitrary, featuring a mix of chef-driven burgers (Zuni Cafe, Holeman & Finch) and old school classics (Louis' Lunch, Dyer's).
Master Purveyor's Talks Burgers on CNN Money
Mark Solasz of Master Purveyors appeared on CNN's The Feed to explain to host Cristina Alesci how the recession has increased their burger business. Master Purveyors supplies the beef to places like '21' Club, Keens, Peter Luger, and J.G Melon. You can watch the video here.
Bareburger Benefit
Bareburger locations at Columbus Circle, Murray Hill, Hell’s Kitchen, and East Village are teaming up to raise funds for employee Erin Cronican, who is battling breast cancer. On Wednesday, August 19, the participating Bareburger locations will offer a free side of fries to anyone who donates to the cause.
Cheeseburger Dumplings
And finally, Mimi Cheng's is serving dumplings inspired by the Emily Pizza burger featuring dry aged beef, Grafton Cheddar, and Emmy sauce. They are available through the end of August.
