Take a Sneak Peek Inside the UrbanSpace Vanderbilt Market, Opening Next Month

New, 1 comment

Delaney Chicken, Mimi's Hummus, and a few surprise vendors are almost ready.

The team behind many of NYC's better street fairs UrbanSpace is getting ready to open the doors to its brick and mortar market UrbanSpace Vanderbilt early next month. Breakfast vendors like Toby's Estate Coffee and Dough will start things off in the morning, with lunchtime and dinner stalls like the much buzzed about Delaney Chicken from Daniel Delaney, Ovenly, Mimi's Hummus, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Amali, and several others like No. 7 Veggie following in the day. New to the line-up is an outpost of East Village tinned fish spot Maiden Lane and braised meats restaurant Mayhem & Stout from Murray Hill.

There are still two counters with yet-to-be-named vendors, one of which could be home to that rumored Roberta's outpost, but nothing is definite yet. A sign outside touts BBQ, so perhaps a 'cue kiosk is moving in as well. Another unknown is the upstairs mezzanine, which the team says will be home to some great parties and some other programming down the line. An official opening date should come soon, in the meantime, take a look around the space.

Update: The UrbanSpace team says "Various vendors will be offering BBQ style items."
