It took the owners of West Village institution Joe's Pizza several decades to open their second location, so the slight delay in opening their third location is really not a big deal. Originally expected to open in June, today is the day when Joe's Williamsburg makes its grand debut on Bedford Avenue. The construction delays resulted in the need to reinforce the floors to bear the weight of the double stacked Baker's Pride ovens, the same ones used at the other Joe's locations. The recipes and prices are identical to the other two locations: $2.75 for a round slice, $3.00 for square. And just like at the other restaurants, everything is made from scratch in house. The hours will be limited for now as the ovens and staff need to be broken in. But by the fall expect the place to be in full swing into the wee hours.
