Breads Bakery UWS, Orwashers, Paloma Rocket, Bottle & Bine, and More Under Construction

Six upcoming places to know about.

Devra Ferst

LINCOLN CENTER — Brown paper is up in the windows and a construction crew is at work on the Breads Bakery outpost right across from Lincoln Center. The space is still pretty raw, so an opening likely won't hit until the fall. 1890 Broadway. [PLYWOOD]

UPPER WEST SIDE — Just a year shy of a century old bakery Orwasher's is opening a second location, this one across the park. In addition to the loaves of rye and pumpernickel, there will be sandwiches and salads for take-out. The team may even offer baking classes. 440 Amsterdam Avenue. [DNAinfo]

LOWER EAST SIDE — A craft beer store/snacking spot called Paloma Rocket is setting up shop. Expect lots of beer, some wine, and a bar in the center where food like flatbreads, grilled cheese sandwiches, tartines, and pizzas are served. 7 Clinton Street. [BB]

MIDTOWN EAST — Ex-Asiate chef Angie Berry, Noho Hospitality alum and somm Gina Goyette, and beer maven Carolyn Pincus are opening a restaurant called Bottle & Bine. Expect chicken liver dumplings and lots of booze. 1085 Second Avenue. [NYP]

MIDTOWN EAST — Mexican chain Tequilaville is about ready to open in a space that used to hold FatBurger. The two restaurants are owned by the same parent company, so it sounds like it was an easy switch. 509 Third Avenue. [Commercial Observer]

BOERUM HILL — Indian chain Baluchi's is opening a location on Smith Street sometime this month in what used to be Ramna. 257 Smith Street. [DNAinfo]
