Patrick Cappiello: It's 10:45 p.m. I finished work and decide to meet some friends at Taquitoria, my favorite fried taco joint in the hood and bringing some of my favorite wines!
10:55: First orders up and some Keller Riesling seems like just the right fit!

11:10: Some young Dauvissat is up next. Fresh mineral driven Chardonnay from the magical land of Chablis.

11:30 - Back in line for more and enjoying a extremely generous offering from my friend Ryan. First growth Bordeaux with the appropriate amount of age!

12:25 - My sommelier Kim rolls in with a magnum of Roulot. Just the thing we needed to get though another wave of Taquitos!

Food cost: about $12 per person!

Editor's note: This wine party was conducted on the sly a few weeks ago before Taquitoria had its liquor license. But starting tomorrow, the restaurant will begin serving cans of Tecate for $5 each, rosé for $10, and bubbles for $15.
