Check Out Joël Robuchon's Enormous Raw Space at Brookfield Place

New, 1 comment

The French chef is working on a terrace, a baker, and of course, his signature L'Atelier.

Tips

Joël Robuchon's triumphant return to the NYC restaurant scene has been in the works for while and from the looks of the raw space in Brookfield Place, it will probably still be another while before the chef opens his French flagship, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. A diligent tipsters snagged the above photo today of the L'Atelier-to-be, and clearly there are many glossy fixtures to be installed before it opens this fall.

Once the team starts moving things in, this big space will hold his high-end signature spot L'Atelier, along with coffee and pastry shop La Boutique, and an outdoor terrace space called simply La Terrace, which will offer the same cafe food (sandwiches, salads, etc. as La Boutique, along with drinks). It's hard to get a sense of how things will be set up, but suffice it to say, they will be big.
