Gabriel Kreuther's Eponymous French-American Restaurant Splashes Into Midtown Soon

It's been a long wait, but chef Gabriel Kreuther seems to be rapidly closing in on an opening date for his eponymous restaurant in the Grace Building. The French-American solo project from the former chef of the Modern now has a splashy new website, plus Twitter and Instagram accounts just begging to be used.

Beyond that, the website doesn't provide much insight – mostly just food photos so close up you can't tell what the dish is (caviar, chocolate, raw fish, and cheese are involved, and all these plates look very beautiful) interspersed with some nature shots. But it does provide a phone number, which is actually being answered right now. According to the employee on the other end, the restaurant is supposed to open around June 15. That may or may not be a hard date – and these things can change in a heartbeat – but the employee also promises that the restaurant will be taking reservations by late June, so it has to be open by then, right?
