Artichoke Pizza Finally Brings Its Pies to Brooklyn Next Month

It won't be far from the Barclays Center.

Soon this sign will be shining over Brooklyn.
Soon this sign will be shining over Brooklyn.

Artichoke Basille's, the shining beacon of pizza for so many late and drunken nights, is opening its very first Brooklyn outpost. The new Artichoke, as Park Slope Stoop reports, will be at 59 5th Avenue in the north end of Park Slope, just blocks from the Barclays Center. It's taking over the old Luscious Foods space, and hopes to bring pizza to the people by July.

As Park Slope Stoop points out, there's no lack of pizza in the area, including a new outpost of Patsy's going in very nearby, and the neighborhood classic Franny's. Still, Artichoke fills a very particular pizza niche, and with all the people coming through the Barclays Center, it should be just fine. It joins a growing number of big guns settling down in the area, not least of which are Shake Shack and the soon-to-open Parm. This will be the chain's sixth outpost, next to the three in Manhattan, a LaGuardia outlet, and a new one in Astoria.
