GRAMERCY — A somewhat generic sign for Lunetta Pizzeria is hanging up in the window at 245 3rd Avenue. Side note: Is that an extra layer of mozz on top, or some sort of cream sauce? Thoughts? [PLYWOOD]

KIPS BAY — There's some serious construction work going down at the old ‘inoteca space at 323 3rd Avenue. No word on who is moving in here yet. [PLYWOOD]

EAST VILLAGE — Signage is up for a Belgian fry spot called Friterie in what was the very short-lived Fasta. Fries might be a better fit for the drunk/stoned high schoolers and NYU freshman that frequent the block. 36 St. Mark's Place [EV Grieve]

LOWER EAST SIDE — Pegu Club alum Kenta Goto is getting close to opening his drinking den Bar Goto, says a rep. The bar, along with its eight signature cocktails, should make its debut mid-July. Expect drinks like the sakura martini (sake, gin, maraschino, salted cherry blossom) and the umami Mary (shiitake vodka, miso, house bloody Mary mix). To snack on there will be a variety of okonomi-yaki, savory Japanese pancakes. 245 Eldridge Street. [PLYWOOD]

CHELSEA — A Brazilian cafe called Doce Coffee, specializing in brigadeiros (think condensed milk truffles encrusted in sprinkles) and cheesey bread pao de queijo, is planning to open this summer, says a co-owner. To help break up all the sweetness from the brigadeiros there will be single origin coffee from Williamsburg's Devocion and uptown's Plowshares Roasters. 328 West 15th Street. [PLYWOOD]

EAST VILLAGE — Liquor license application signage is up at the old B.A.D. Burger space, where it looks like an LLC called Rice + Salt is hoping to install a Vietnamese restaurant. 171 Avenue A. [EV Grieve]

EAST VILLAGE — Application papers are also up in the window of what was, until recently, Tink's. No word on what type of restaurant is moving in but it looks like it's registered as Txi Pirou, or something like that — it's a bit hard to make out. 102 East 7th Street. [EV Grieve]
