Meatballer Michael Chernow Close to Opening Fish Project Seamore's in Little Italy

Plywood is down and the team just got its gas hookup.

The Meatball Shop

Meatball Shop man (and newly minted father) Michael Chernow is getting close to opening his first seafood spot, Seamore's. Here, he'll serve ceviche, fish and chips, fish tacos, po' boys and the like, with a focus on using more sustainable and less popular fish like monkfish, porgy, and flounder from Montauk purveyors.

The team started hiring almost a month ago, plywood is downa website is up, and just yesterday, Chernow reached the holy grail of restaurant openings, he got his gas hookup.

For anyone who knows..... TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY... We got fire.

Now that the team can actually start cooking, an opening should be imminent. A rep says to expect a debut in late June or early July.
