The Tribeca Grand is about to get a boozy cellar jazz bar with the help of the Little Branch gents Joseph Schwartz and Vito Dieterle. The cocktail gurus shuttered their own Tribeca jazz club Silver Lining two years ago, but they are returning to the neighborhood to consult on this project. The community board gave its initial approval for the liquor license just last week, so it's way too early to tell what the drink options will include, but seeing as Schwartz and Dieterle have a history of working with master mixer Sasha Petraske, we're reasonably optimistic.
Strangely enough, the pair is also working on opening a jazz, cocktail, and small plates spot that sounds kind of like Silver Linings 2.0 in Bed-Stuy.
