Park Slope's Beloved Bierkraft Shop and Bar Are Dark: Is It for Good?

Park Slope's beer nerd Mecca and neighborhood hang Bierkraft appears to have shuttered. The beer store/bar was mysteriously dark yesterday, the website is down, and the shop's Twitter account has been deleted, reports neighborhood blog Here's Park Slope. The shop is locked today and no one is answering the phone, either. A staffer at 200 Fifth, right across the street, who knows the Bierkraft team hadn't heard anything, but was surprised to find the place dark on a Sunday, normally one of the shop's busiest days.

The corner of 5th Avenue and Berkeley has had a rough time lately. Square pizza spot Campo de Fiori shuttered in October after four years and Bierkraft's neighbor to the south Zito's Sandwich Shoppe also just closed to make way for a "fantastic Indian" restaurant.
