French pastry shop and cafe Maison Kayser is planning to colonize Brooklyn with its first outpost in the fair borough. The 4,500-square-foot space next to Borough Hall is slated to open in late September with a coffee bar, bakery section, grab-and-go options, and a 108 seat cafe/restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The set-up sounds pretty similar to the recently expanded Maison Kayser along Bryant Park, and should be a welcome addition to downtown Brooklyn, especially for anyone who has to serve jury duty at the court house.
