The brown paper is down and the signage is up at the giant Parm in Battery Park City. The restaurant should start serving its prized fresh mozz sometime next week, according to a staff member at the original location on Mulberry Street. The downtown space, like the outpost that opened on the Upper West Side in December, is a lot bigger than the original, and has an expanded menu that should serve as a basis for future Parms. Down here you'll find new things like shrimp scampi, artichokes casino, steak, and an ice cream cake flavor of the month, says Flo Fab. This is all on top of the restaurant's much loved chicken parm and meatball sandwiches. Downtown, there's also a market and a cafe space near the entrance, though it's unclear what will be for sale there.
