Austrian chef Eduard Frauneder, aka the Edi in Edi and the Wolf and the chef who garnered the now-shuttered Seasonal's Michelin star, is planning to settle downtown. He presented plans for his still-nameless restaurant in the old Boonrasa space near the World Trade Center to the local community board this week, notes Downtown Express. Frauneder says the restaurant will have Austrian leanings and be a neighborhood spot (something FiDi could desperately use) with a backyard that has seating for 20. "What I'm basically trying to do is bring food and art together," he said, though, how is unclear at the moment. The space needs work, so the opening likely won't come until fall at the earliest. 109 Washington Street, FiDi
