Greek restaurant emperor Michael Psilakis finally has an opening date for his Williamsburg outpost of MP Taverna. The restaurant, which is in an old warehouse, has been in the works for five years and will make its debut on May 11. The plan is to serve more modern Greek fare here than what he serves at his other locations. Expect shared dishes like grilled calamari with cauliflower and chickpeas; cheese manti; braised tongue with wild mushrooms, cannellini beans, and egg; stewed goat; and several whole grilled fishes. There are nearly 40 beers to go with that and those taps will likely do double time this summer when Psilakis opens The Hall at MP, a performing arts space and beer hall adjacent to the restaurant.
