Martignetti Brothers Plan to Move Brinkley's Into Former Soho Institution Milady's

They just applied to transfer their liquor license to the dearly departed tavern.

It looks like Tom and Anthony Martignetti are looking to move Brinkley's, their six-year-old Broome Street pub, into the former home of a storied Soho watering hole: Milady's. On the May Community Board 2 agenda, Brinkley's is applying to move its liquor license from its current home to 162 Prince Street, where Milady's lived for many years before the beloved tavern went out with a packed house last January.

It's unclear why the Martignetti brothers are undertaking this move, and so far they haven't disclosed plans for what they'll actually do to the space. But not long ago, when seeking approval for a Lower East Side outpost of their Upper East Side spot Pizza Beach, they told Community Board 3 that they did not plan to bring Southside, Brinkley's basement bar, with them in the move.
