1) WEST VILLAGE —  Low fat, custom-filled doughnut shop Holey Donuts has closed, despite initial (mostly self-made) hype. No word yet on what will replace the shop. [Eaterwire]

2) EAST VILLAGE — The legendary and affordable East Village Cheese Shop will be forced to find a new location come July 31. Rumor has it that the budget fromagerie will relocate to a spot on East 7th Street, between 1st and 2nd Ave. [EV Grieve]

3) ALPHABET CITY — Local favorite Cafe Pick Me Up will be closing its Avenue A location on Sunday after 20 years of business due to a rent hike. It won't be going far, though. The cafe will move into the Gnocco space on East 10th Street, which is owned by the same people. [EV Grieve]

4) EAST VILLAGE — Spice's Second Ave location will close on Monday. The Asian-fusion chain did just recently open a 1st Ave location, so it's not like East Village residents will have to go too far for a Spice fix. [EV Grieve]

5) EAST VILLAGE — Milosun Sushi has closed and immediately reopened as an all-you-can-sushi place called Kikoo. According to the new restaurant's website, it "offers a wide array of fine Japanese fusion cuisine, ranging from traditional Sashimi Lunch, California Roll to new style entrees such as Tempura Udon, Color Dragon and Butterfly Roll."
