Look Inside MP Taverna's Minimalist but Massive Williamsburg Location

Lots of wood, windows, and open space.

Take a look around the brand new Williamsburg outpost of MP Taverna, the latest from Greek restaurateur/frequent TV chef Michael Psilakis, which opened earlier this month. This is the fourth location of the popular Greek eatery and, as promised, the menu features a lengthy mezze section to appeal to the Williamsburg crowd, who obviously like their plates small and shareable. Apps consist of revamped Mediterranean favorites like grilled sardines with eggplant caponata, barrel aged feta with Greek olives, and octopus with yogurt and bean salad.

The decor for the space is very minimal, with large windows, rich brown leather banquettes and a whole lot of wood. The restaurant will be launching brunch service this weekend, which might be the optimal time to visit and take in the light, airy space. Next up for Psilakis is the Hall at MP, the neighboring beer bar/performance space, which is slated to open very soon. More details to come on that, so stay tuned.
