Josh Ozersky's Meatopia Will Live On With Meat Masters from Around the Country

Plus, a MOFAD auction, Beer Geek Trivia night at Glorietta Baldy, and more.

HELL'S KITCHEN — The late and great food writer Josh Ozersky’s beloved meat festival Meatopia will live on this fall, says NYCWFF founder and director Lee Schrager. "Josh was a dear friend of mine and of the festival, and we are working closely with the executors of Meatopia to ensure that his legacy lives on in a way he would be proud of." Chef Michael Symon will host the festival on October 18 on Pier 92. The lineup this year includes Billy Durney of Hometown Bar-B-Que, John Tesar of Knife in Dallas, and JJ Johnson of The Cecil among others. The full lineup is below and tickets are here. [EaterWire]

CHELSEA  — The Toklas Society and food writer Kate Krader are hosting the second annual Chefs to Watch dinner at Haven's Kitchen on June 8, celebrating rising female culinary talent in NYC. Six chefs including Mary Attea, the chef de cuisine of Annisa, Suzanne Cups, who holds the same position at Untitled, and Cosme's co-chef de cuisine Daniela Soto-Innes will cook the dinner.
