Iconic Drag Bar Boots & Saddle Almost Ready to Reopen in Actors Playhouse

Legendary Christopher Street drag bar Boots & Saddle is nearly ready for its sequin covered re-debut in its new home at the Actors Playhouse, after almost a year of fighting NIMBY opposition. The bar's team had hoped to host its grand reopening this weekend, but they are still waiting on a Department of Buildings inspection, which was slated for last Monday but needed to be rescheduled. The opening will be "real soon," says assistant manager Michael Richardson. It needs to be. The bar is hosting the Out Magazine awards on June 1.
