London's Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton is opening his first New York restaurant, The Clocktower tomorrow night with Stephen Starr in the newly remade and Edition Hotel. The restaurant is sort of familiar territory for Atherton, who is responsible for a sizable empire of restaurants across the pond as well as in Asian and Sydney. He already operates the restaurant at the Edition in London, and the Clocktower has a similar feel. Nearly every inch of wall space is covered in framed art, there's a billiards room with a purple glow, and it's all around a pretty swanky place.

The Menu: Atherton covers all of the steakhouse meets new American bases, while dressing things up a bit more than usual – case in point, a tomato salad made with tomato jelly, burrata, and basil granite. Raw bar selections range from simple oysters and dishes like Alaskan king crab with dashi gelée and pickled cucumber. While it's in season, there's white asparagus with a slow cooked egg, chicken thigh and chicken "cornflakes," and British influences show up in dishes like Cornish fish stew. At the end of the menu, there are, in the current fashion, two large format dishes — a large steak and a peking duck a l'orange. Check out the whole menu below.
