Grill Bursts Into Flames at Midtown Chipotle

Several diners captured the blaze on film. No person or burrito was harmed.

Yesterday afternoon a Chipotle caught fire at 235 West 56th Street. "I was in the back when I heard people yelling 'Fire, get out, get out!," restaurant manager Henry German told DNAinfo. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Handily enough, the windows of this Chipotle provide a clear view of the kitchen where this all went down, and diners and passersby caught much of the incident on social media:

It's FIRE! Everybody was evacuated @Chipotle

The love for Chipotle runs deep.

Save the guac!

And don't leave that burrito behind.

People clapped for the FDNY.

Firemen took care of it! @Enter the sandman!

German doesn't know when the store will re-open.
