Danny Meyer Teams Up With The Dead Rabbit Fellas For a Project Outside NYC

New, 1 comment

Details are scant, here's everything we know.

Restaurant king Danny Meyer just opened Porchlight, his first bar project two months ago and he's already working on the next one. Ron Parker, managing partner at Union Square Events is teaming up with legendary barmen Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, who founded cocktail haven The Dead Rabbit, to open a bar/restaurant somewhere in the US, outside of NYC. There's no word yet on where it might be or what the concept will be, but Muldoon tells Eater "It will open this summer for sure." So, we won't have to wait terribly long to find out.

When it does open, the concept and beverage program will come from Muldoon and McGarry's consulting business, The Best Bar in the World, while Union Square curates the design, oversees hiring, operating the space and managing the day-to-day operations. There will also be food to go with the drinks, but no word on who will be running the kitchen.
