Hester Street Fair Debuting April 25; San Marzano Reopening After Explosion

LOWER EAST SIDE — Warm weather weekend favorite Hester Street Fair will return April 25. The food lineup this year includes buttermilk biscuits from Field & Clover, an Egyptian bread baker called Baladi, and a Malaysian sweets cart called Tasty Theater, among others. [GS]

BED-STUY — Speedy Romeo's now partnering with Hometown's Bill Durney on a pie called The Red Hook Reuben. An everything bagel pizza crust is topped with pastrami bacon made at Hometown, smoked red cabbage kraut, dijon bechamel, and thousand island dressing. The pizza is available for two weeks. EAST VILLAGE — San Marzano, which was shuttered by the tragic explosion on 2nd Avenue, is hoping to reopen tomorrow. Other businesses that are still closed like B & H and Jimmy's No. 43 are working to get back on their feet. [EV Grieve]
