Tomorrow night, Aldea chef George Mendes will finally open his casual Portuguese restaurant Lupulo, where he'll serve bacalhau, sardines, caldo verde, and Portuguese pastries called natas, along with beers and Portuguese wines around a big semi-oval bar. The chef has been busy training his staff, but he managed to squeeze in one last cooking lesson with his mom:
