Michelin-recommended Japanese restaurant Wasan is planning an outpost in Park Slope in the space that held the curious restaurant Rare Earth for just a hot minute and the grilled cheese specialist Melt before that. Wasan has been serving its well received Japanese farm-to-table fare in the East Village since 2010, but Barclays Center seems to have helped draw some interesting dining options to the neighborhood of late. Bricolage, a Vietnamese restaurant from two Slanted Door vets, opened recently within walking distance and the Franny's team is planning to relaunch the former Marco's space as Rose's next month. No word yet on when Wasan will open.
