Peek Inside Rosie's, a Mexican Spot from the Vic's Team, Opening This Week

The brown paper at the old Boukies space has been solidly in place for months, blocking out any wandering eye hoping to catch a glimpse of its replacement, Rosie's, a Mexican restaurant from the Vic's and Hundred Acres team. But late on Friday the giant floor-to-ceiling windows were wide open (hello semi-al fresco dining) as a man mopped the floor. Inside, it looks like construction is done and things are just about ready to roll, minus the furniture. A rep confirms that, saying the restaurant should open this week. When it does, co-owner Marc Meyer will be drawing on his cooking lessons with Mexican cooking doyenne Diana Kennedy. Expect chiles rellenos, whole roasted fish, and antojitos, or snacks at the bar.
