Mathieu Palombino's La Gamelle Announces Itself on the Bowery

Motorino man Mathieu Palombino's French brasserie La Gamelle is almost ready to make its Bowery debut next Wednesday. The inside is all set, and this morning a construction worker was spotted putting on one of the final, crucial touches: the sign officially announcing the restaurant's presence right next door to The New Museum. When Palombino opens, he promises there will be some holdovers on the menu from Chez Jef, the popular pop-up he ran in the space last year, as well as a host of other classic French dishes.
