California-style cafe Dimes moved to its new, bigger home just down the street last Friday and by Sunday morning the throngs of fashion girls had found their way there. The space, just a couple of doors down from the new Manhattan Pies n' Thighs, is about two and a half times the size of the original Dimes, so it's not exactly sprawling, but there is seating for 35 people at petite pastel tables and another six spots at the restaurant's bar, where barman Arley Marks is making wheatgrass margaritas and some herb juice inspired drinks.
The whitewashed space has the same style as the original Dimes. Color peeks through here and there in the form of a few potted plants and the vases, books, and knick knacks decorating the shelves. The biggest change for the team is access to a full kitchen, which they are using to expand their menu.
