First Abu Dhabi, now Southampton: the Maccioni family is bringing an offshoot of its upscale, circus-themed Italian restaurant, Circo, to the East End. The formidable clan behind the legendary Le Cirque is about to take over the space at 268 Elm Street, which formerly housed an outpost of Delmonico's steakhouse, and transform it into an Italian spot with 75 seats inside and 50 al fresco. "We feel that the area is family oriented and we want to open a beach version of Circo, which is basically my mother's cooking,'' Marco Maccioni tells Eater. His brother Mario, who has a house in Southampton, will be at the helm. "This will be a little more casual than the city restaurant, and a little fishier,'' explains Mario. "We want to be part of the community, so we will be open all year.''  The deal is expected to be finalized this afternoon.
