Last June, Harlem critical darling Mountain Bird shuttered abruptly after only eight months in business. A rent hike forced Kenichi and Keiko Tajima, the husband and wife owners to look for a new location for their tiny, poultry-focused French restaurant. That search is still ongoing, but the pair will host a dinnertime pop-up in East Harlem Tuesdays through Saturdays starting on Friday, April 24. The menu will be largely the same as it was — think cassoulet and fried cockscombs — but Harlem + Bespoke hears that there will also be a few new menu items to try. No word on how long the pop-up will last, so best to make plans to go right when it starts. 251 East 110th Street
