Times Square's first permanent food market, City Kitchen opened its doors bright and early this morning with a rainbow display of doughnuts from Dough.
The 4,000-square-foot market also has kiosks from Luke's Lobster, Whitman's, Middle Eastern restaurant ilili, and Gabriela's Taqueria, which is serving breakfast tacos this very minute. Come lunchtime, the Ippudo team will debut its offshoot Kuro Obi, which specializes in "tori paitan" — a chicken and pork stock ramen — made with special noodles that are designed to withstand the walk back to your desk. There's also beer to go with that ramen, just in case you work at that kind of office.
