Taqueria Diana, San Loco, Paul's, Bar Virage All Back Open After EV Explosion

Jimmy's No. 43, B&H Dairy, Ramen Misoya, and Burp Castle, are still closed.

The restaurants along 2nd Avenue that were shuttered by the devastating explosion and fire that claimed two lives, are gradually getting back on their feet. San Loco is up and running, Paul's Da Burger Joint opened yesterday (just tell the cops where you're going), and Bar Virage tells Eater that it will reopen for dinner tonight around 5 p.m.

Yesterday afternoon Taqueria Diana started doing just delivery, but a quick call to the restaurant reveals that the nacho specialist spot is now completely back open.

Meanwhile, B&H Dairy, Ramen Misoya, Burp Castle, and Jimmy's No. 43 are still closed. The B&H team was only able to get in to assess the damage on Sunday and Jimmy's and Burp Castle still need city sign-off to reopen. In the meantime, do visit the places that are open now – they all need the business.

Several restaurants nearby are organizing to help those impacted by the explosion. If you know of others or have other related news to share, please email tips@eater.com.
