An explosion and ensuing blaze at East Village restaurant Sushi Park spread to one of New York's favorite snack spots, Pommes Frites. So beloved, Pommes Frites is trending on Twitter with a mix of reactions from New Yorkers and ex-New Yorkers that range from outrage over the concern for a fry shop in the midst of a tragedy to farewell notes.
