The Gander's Anniversary Celebration; Guest Chef Dinner at Racines

Plus, a fundraising dinner at Acqua and Cesare Casella is out at Ristorante Rosi.

FLATIRON — To celebrate the The Gander's first anniversary, the restaurant is offering a special four-course tasting menu April 6-10. Chef Jesse Schenker will be preparing dishes like sea bass crudo with caviar, lobster vinaigrette, and duck skin, as well as aged duck breast, with crushed peas, morel mushrooms, and pickled rhubarb. The dinner will run $70 a person and reservations can be made by calling 212-229-9500. [Eaterwire]

TRIBECA — Racines is hosting a "Six Hands Dinner," with two chefs from Racines' Parisian outposts. They will team up with Racines NY executive chef Frederic Duca to prepare an 8-course meal including scallop tartare and trout gravlax. The Thursday night dinner costs $115 and can be reserved by calling the restaurant at 212-227-3400. [Eaterwire]

FIDI — Acqua on Peck Slip is throwing a fundraising event for the restaurant's bar-back, William, who recently lost his home to a fire. The event is tomorrow at 6 p.m. and all proceeds go to William. [Tribeca Citizen]
