Hit Philly Spot High Street on Market Will Land in NYC This Fall

Come fall, New York will have its own outpost of Philadelphia's much buzzed about High Street on Market, reports Flo Fab. The restaurant and bakery is run by chef Eli Kulp, who logged some serious time at Torrisi Italian Specialties before heading to Philly to run the kitchen at Ellen Yin's Fork and ultimately open High Street with her (the two now co-own both properties). The casual restaurant has been drawing food writers and avid diners from NYC down to Philly pretty much since it opened.

Kulp and Yin tell Eater that they are calling their New York restaurant High Street on Hudson and plan to keep the concept similar to what they offer in Philly. Coming with them is the restaurant's top-notch baker Alex Bois, who makes breads like a brown rice baguette and sesame tahini loaves, along with pastries like a danish stuffed with cannoli cream.
