The Torrisi crew's sceney-as-ever Lower East Side restaurant, Dirty French, will finally launch brunch service this weekend, after almost six months in business. The meal, reasonably enough, offers mostly dishes already found on either the breakfast or lunch menus. The breakfast dishes are mostly American standards in French clothing – meaning pancakes are dubbed crêpes Américaines and the hash is made with confit duck leg. Other entrees include steak au poivre, the lunchtime lamb burger, and the French dip. You can check out the full menu, below:
As for the cocktail situation, brunch offers an abbreviated selection of drinks from the evening menu as well as some large format brunch cocktails. Think bloody marys, mimosas—any drink usually relegated to day-time drinking.
And, in typical Torrisi fashion, prices are not listed. But you should expect this meal to cost as much as breakfast or lunch.
