Just one day after giving it a test run, domestic goddess/sworn enemy of Gwyneth Paltrow Martha Stewart has opened her Chelsea cafe to the public.

For those who haven't been following, note that the cafe is a tiny thing in the Starrett-Lehigh building, where Martha's offices are (leave it to Martha to take such a practical approach to her new venture.) Still, it's open to everyone, and serves coffee, tea, and pastries. The coffee, from Kobrick Coffee, is of course, "Martha's blend," and there's a "Martha's blend" of black tea too. Everything, in fact, from the aprons down to the paper cups is carefully Martha-branded:

The only things not of Martha's own design are the pastries, but even these, according to the website, have allegedly been "hand-selected" by the lady herself. Whether or not that's true, they're certainly from some of the city's finest bakeries, including Bien Cuit, Balthazar, Baked, and Chikalicious.

The cafe is only open on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., so it'll be hard to make it there if you work a 9 to 5 job anywhere other than Chelsea, but if you do get there, maybe, just maybe Martha herself will be there will be there to greet you with a big fake grin:
