Just one day after giving it a test run, domestic goddess/sworn enemy of Gwyneth Paltrow Martha Stewart has opened her Chelsea cafe to the public.

For those who haven't been following, note that the cafe is a tiny thing in the Starrett-Lehigh building, where Martha's offices are (leave it to Martha to take such a practical approach to her new venture.) Still, it's open to everyone, and serves coffee, tea, and pastries. The coffee, from Kobrick Coffee, is of course, "Martha's blend," and there's a "Martha's blend" of black tea too. Everything, in fact, from the aprons down to the paper cups is carefully Martha-branded:
The only things not of Martha's own design are the pastries, but even these, according to the website, have allegedly been "hand-selected" by the lady herself. Whether or not that's true, they're certainly from some of the city's finest bakeries, including Bien Cuit, , , and Chikalicious.
The cafe is only open on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., so it'll be hard to make it there if you work a 9 to 5 job anywhere other than Chelsea, but if you do get there, maybe, just maybe Martha herself will be there will be there to greet you with a big fake grin:
