The space that, until recently, housed chef Jimmy Bradley's Tribeca favorite, The Harrison, will be turned into an outpost of Maison Kayser this summer. According to the Maison Kayser website, there is a West Village location of the classy French bakery chain in the works, which will make these the brand's seventh and eighth New York locations since it's American debut in 2012.
No word on a menu yet, but expect a cafe/bakery situation much like the chain's other New York outposts – think croque monsieurs, salads, soups, and many excellent breads and pastries. So no, it's not as bad as a Starbucks or a juice shop, but still a sad end for a neighborhood classic.
