SOHO — Vegetable master David Tanis is teaming up with El Rey chef Gerardo Gonzalez for a Mexican dinner party on March 18 and 19. El Rey owner Nick Morgenstern has rented out a space in Soho for the occasion and says it will be transformed into a "rich and moody rainforest," with the help of Brutal magazine. Yana Volfson from Cosme will be creating cocktails for the event. The $135 tickets cover booze, dinner, "snacks to pluck, lush from hanging trees.
