Blue Smoke's New Brunch Sandwiches; Louro Celebrates Mardi Gras

BATTERY PARK and FLATIRON — Blue Smoke is starting brunch service this weekend at its Battery Park City location. The Southern-inspired menu includes bananas foster oatmeal, a burnt brisket ends sandwich with scrambled eggs, the house burger, and shrimp and grits. The Flatiron location will start serving the menu sometime soon. [EaterWire]

DELIVERY WIRE — Dan Kluger, Mark Ladner, and Brooks Headley are joining the "culinary board of directors" at Maple, the new delivery service that's launching this Spring. David Chang is the chief culinary officer and Soa Davies will be running the kitchen. [EaterWire]

WEST VILLAGE — Louro is celebrating Mardi Gras with a seven course New Orleans-inspired menu on February 16 at 7 p.m. There will be crab and crawfish etouffee, chicken and sausage gumbo, and bananas foster with beignets. There will also be brandy milk punch. Dinner is $75.

LITTLE ITALY — Baz Bagels is hosting two wild nights of bingo on February 11 and 25 at 7:30 p.m. There's wine, beer, and dinner. [EaterWire]
