Marcus Sameulsson's team has been mighty quiet about its new project Streetbird Rotisserie, but tonight the restaurant will pop-up downtown:

Samuelsson's a fan of the tacos at the Mexican restaurant and recently convinced the owner to let him take over the kitchen for an evening. He told Eater: "It's the first time I'm testing recipes for Streetbird outside of my kitchen, and outside of staff meal, so I'm excited to get real feedback from people." In exchange for those opinions, dinner is donation based. No word on the official menu just yet (stay tuned), but it seems safe to say that there will be rotisserie chicken. As for the brick and mortar location of Streetbird, which will be up town near Red Rooster, the team is shooting for an early spring opening.
