Dale Talde opens the Jersey City outpost of his popular, eponymous Park Slope restaurant, Talde tonight. He and partners John Bush and David Massoni have been at work on this foray into New Jersey territory for over a year, and just last week opened their other Jersey City project, Carrino Provisions, right next door. While Carrino is a new one for them — an Italian market/restaurant in partnership with Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri of HGTV's Kitchen Cousins — the new Talde doesn't look too different from the original.
The menu: Dishes that helped put Talde on the map, like the famed pretzel pork and chive dumplings, and the bacon pad Thai will be available, along with some new dim sum options like a roasted pork bun with sweet pickles called the McBao and robata dishes like charred lobster tail. To drink there's an 100 bottle wine list and cocktails like the Brooklyn sling (gin, Luxardo, pineapple, grenadine and bitters) and a plum wine bellini. See the full menu below and stay tuned for more photos.
