Rayuela Chef Alex Urena Plans Tasca Chino; Patsy's and Caribbean BK9 Coming to Park Slope

Flatiron: Alex Urena, who was helming the kitchens at Rayuela, before it mysteriously went on hiatus, is opening a Chinese-Spanish restaurant called Tasca Chino on Park Avenue South at 20th Street in April. Expect tapas and dim sum (read: small plates). Simon Oren and David Sasson of Barbounia and Union Square's Pavillion are also involved in the project. [PLYWOOD]

Lower East Side: Meatball Shop co-owner Michael Chernow is hard at work on his forthcoming seafood restaurant, Seamore.

Chelsea: After a several month shutter, Juban will reopen this March with a new owner. Ashwin Balani, who worked as a manager at sake bar Izakaya Ten, had planned to open an Indian pub, but changed his mind on a trip to Asia  and decided to reopen Juban as an izakaya. Expect 30 sakes and 15 shochus. [DNAinfo]

Park Slope: Sunset Park Las Rosas Bakery is expanding north with Las Rosas Grill. The team is settling into the old Piccola Uova space at 161 7th Avenue. [Park Slope Stoop]

Lower East Side: Cabalito, a El Salvadorian restaurant, is moving into a tiny space that formerly housed a Cafe Grumpy outlet at 13 Essex. The menu focuses on papusas. Expect an early April debut. [BB]

Crown Heights: A coffee shop called Colina Cuervo, which plans to serve empanadas along with Ecuadorian and Colombian breakfast items is moving into 759 Nostrand Avenue, and should open in about a month. Coffee will hail from Counter Culture. [DNAinfo]

Harlem: A two-story outpost of Buffalo Wild Wings is moving into a space right under AMC Magic Johnson Harlem 9 movie theater at 2309 Frederick Douglass Boulevard. [DNAinfo]

Park Slope: An offshoot of legendary Harlem pizza shop Patsy's is getting ready to open at 450 Dean Street. The local community board recently approved outdoor seating for the restaurant. [Park Slope Stoop]

Park Slope: A Caribbean restaurant called BK9 is moving into an old church at 63 5th Avenue. Expect menu items like jerk chicken wings and curried goat ragu. [Park Slope Stoop]
