Legendary karaoke spot Winnie's Bar and Grill in Chinatown is set to shutter after 28 years at the end of March, reports Jeremiah Moss. According to a tipster of Moss's: "the landlord is renting the space to someone else (they have gone for 3 years without a lease)." The dive was popular among Chinese gangsters back in the late 1980's and early 1990's, but more recently has been a hipster favorite with its potent Hawaiian Punch — a mix of rum, vodka, amaretto, creme de bananes, and grenadine. No word on who the new tenant will be.
