Taiwanese Noodle Soup at Matcha Bar; Smorgasburg Announces Outdoor Dates

WILLIAMSBURG — Food Radio Host Leiti Hsu is hosting a soup dinner on Wednesday at 7:30. Tickets are $30 and include an appetizer, a bowl of Taiwanese noodle soup, matcha dessert, wine, beer, and music. [EaterWire]

DUMBO and WILLIAMSBURG — Smorgasburg, which has been wintering over in Crown Heights, will return to its regular outdoor venues April 4 and 5. Expect some favorites and some new vendors. [Gothamist]

MURRAY HILL — Hemant Mathur will celebrate the Indian festival of color Holi at his restaurants Haldi, Chola Kokum, Malai Marke, Chote Nowab, and Dhaba on March 7. He and his wife, pastry chef Surbhi Sahni, will serve bhang, a drink traditionally made with spices, milk, water, and cannabis (here rum is subbed in). CROWN HEIGHTS — Indie bookstore Greenlight Books and beer hall Berg'n are teaming up for Book Cooks, where chefs like Max and Eli Sussman and April Bloomfield will discuss their cookbooks with Berg'n owner and Flea co-found Eric Demby.
